What is the best treatment for sunburn?
How does your pore get blackheads
Hi Helen,
Thank you for asking us this question.
We recommend a rigorous sun care regime and daily use of a SPF50+ sunscreen will provide a high level of UV protection from the sun. We recommend our SunSense range, the choice of which one to use will depend on your skin type (ie, normal or sensitive) and whether the area of application is the face or body.
The most important point to reinforce is the correct use of sunscreen; application of sufficient product to provide the stated SPF 50+ protection, and frequent reapplication during sun exposure. The guidelines recommended by Ego, The Cancer Council and the Australasian College of Dermatologists are as follows:
– apply sunscreen at least 20 minutes prior to sun exposure
– apply at least 5ml (one teaspoon) of product per body part
– reapply sunscreen every two hours during sun exposure, or more frequently if exercising/perspiring
– reapply sunscreen immediately after swimming or towelling dry
– use a water resistant sunscreen if swimming/in the water
– avoid sun exposure during the middle of the day, when UV levels are the highest
– do not rely on sunscreen alone; use protective clothing, a hat and eyewear, and seek shade
The above guidelines are reinforced in information published by the Australasian College of Dermatologists
We hope this information helps. Please don’t hesitate to ask more questions or contact our friendly Customer Service Team on 1800 033 706 or email us through customerservice@egopharm.com for more information.
