How does your pore get blackheads
Hi,
Thank you for your question!
Skin rejuvenation products may contain a combination of ingredients, many of which are beneficial for acne-prone skin, including: AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids), BHAs (beta hydroxy acids) and PHAs (poly hydroxy acids). These compounds encourage skin cell renewal through chemical exfoliation, by removing dead skin cells to reveal newer, healthier skin cells at the surface, and benefitting acne-prone skin by unclogging blocked pores. Retinols. Retinols are vitamin A derivatives which increase the rate of skin cell turnover, and regulating sebum production, which in turn prevents the blockage of pores and the formation of pimples.
Antioxidants such as vitamins C and E help to protect the skin from ‘oxidative stress’, which can contribute to the formation or worsening of acne. (Oxidative stress in the skin (aka free radical damage) is triggered by pollution, cigarette smoking and sun exposure.) Vitamin B3 (aka niacinamide or nicotinamide) is used in skin rejuvenating products to increase skin elasticity, even skin tone and repair skin barrier function. It is also helpful in the treatment of acne by its anti-inflammatory action and reduction of sebum production.
We recommend Elucent Anti Ageing range which contains the AHAs glycolic acid and lactic acid, and vitamins B3 and E.
