Hi,
Thanks for submitting your question!
There are many acne treatments available, including over the counter acne creams, prescription oral or topical antibiotics, dermatologist only prescription medicines, laser therapies and chemical peels.
Chemical peeling is a skin resurfacing procedure commonly used for facial rejuvenation and aesthetics. It causes a manageable injury to the skin, resulting in subsequent regeneration of a new skin layer.
Chemical peels are not mandaory , however are certainly effective in the treatment of mild to moderate acne. If you are considering a chemical peel we would encourage you seek a recommended practitioner rather than attempting treatment at home. For a maintenance skincare regime, we recommend you cleanse the skin with Azclear Action Foaming Wash. It removes dirt, skin, and bacteria that causes the acne. We also recommend treating it with Azclear Action Medicated Lotion which is an oil free, invisible, antibacterial lotion for the treatment of blackheads, pimples and acne. If the acne persists, please see a dermatologist and they will recommend an appropriate treatment.
As with all acne preparations, it is important to remember that successful treatment of acne requires commitment to a regime.
It is not uncommon to experience local irritation to the skin such as redness, itching, peeling and burning when starting treatment with this product. These side effects are usually transient and generally subside after 2 to 4 weeks. Should this occur with initial use of the product, we advise reducing the frequency of application from twice daily to once daily until the irritation disappears or to temporarily discontinue treatment.
