How does your pore get blackheads
Hi,
Thank you for your question!
Hormonal acne is acne vulgaris triggered by hormonal changes in the body such as the onset of puberty, menstruation, pregnancy or menopause. Hormonal surges in androgen hormones, such as testosterone, stimulate sebum production and an increased production of skin cells lining the hair follicles. The overproduction of skin cells can lead to blocking of the hair follicles, forming comedones or ‘blocked pores’. Colonisation of the hair follicles by the bacteria Propionbacterium acnes, results in inflamed papules and pustules – what we commonly refer to as acne or pimples.
Our Azclear Action Medicated Lotion, works in several ways to clear acne. The active ingredient, azelaic acid, reduces sebum production, reduces swelling and redness by killing the bacteria responsible for inflamed acne breakouts, and its gentle exfoliant and comedolytic activity reduces the number of comedones and blocked pores.
As with all acne preparations, it is important to remember that successful treatment of acne requires commitment to a regime. If you experience local irritation to the skin such as redness, itching, peeling and burning when starting treatment with this product. These side effects are usually transient and generally subside after 2 to 4 weeks. Should this occur with initial use of the product, we advise reducing the frequency of application from twice daily to once daily until the irritation disappears or to temporarily discontinue treatment.
