Hi, Thanks for submitting the question!
Scars are formed as the skin heals and starts to repair itself. Because this happens faster than usual skin turn over, there is an overproduction of collagen at the wound site which leads to scarring. There isn’t a product that will prevent a scar forming entirely, but there are some skincare products available that can help improve the appearance and help reduce its presence on your skin.
Please see our answer on how to manage skin pigmentation and improve the appearance of it here. If the scar is raised or old, you may need to visit your healthcare professional to hear their suggestions on cosmetic procedures that can sometimes help improve the appearance of stubborn scars.
Take care!
Kind Regards,
