Hi, Thank you for submitting this question!
The difference between creams and ointments is the different proportion of oil to water. A cream is an ‘oil in water’ formulation where the percentage of water is greater than that of oil. They can be easily absorbed, spread, and washed off. We don’t want to toot our own horn, but we think our QV Face Day Cream is a pretty great choice. An ointment is a ‘water in oil’ formulation where the percentage of oil is greater than that of water, and thus are greasier, remain on the skin longer and take longer to absorb. Ointments are best used on dry skin, such as psoriasis. We hope this information helps keep your skin healthy and glowing!
