I’m a 63 year old woman. I have always looked after my skin. In the past year I have developed mild rosacea, dry and sensitive skin. This seem to develop after trying prescribed retain A and hydroquinone for 6 months for pigmentation. I could only use twice a week as it caused too much redness. What products would you recommend? Lyn
Hello,
Thank you for your question!
Warts are actually an infection in the top layer of our skin, caused by a virus in the human papillomavirus, family. When the virus invades the skin, it causes fast growth of cells on the outer layer of skin, which creates the wart.
You can get warts from direct skin-to-skin contact, such as shaking hands with someone who has warts on their hand. You can also get the virus from touching objects with the virus on it. You are more likely to get a wart from this kind of contact if you have a cut in the skin.
To prevent warts, make sure you wash your hands thoroughly and regularly, and when using a public shower, wear rubber flip-flops or sandals.
The other way to prevent them is to keep your skin cut-free.
Warts can spread so it is important to remove them as quickly as possible. Home remedies and over-the counter treatments such as salicylic acid can be used to remove them but if your warts are causing you discomfort, we recommend you see a dermatologist, who can freeze or burn the wart off, or prescribe you immune boosting medicines.
