Teach Kids The Importance of Hand Hygiene

Posted on : 10.09.2018 Updated on : 10.9.2018

Keeping your hands clean is a proactive step to take to help avoid spreading germs. It’s especially important around children, as it is essential to teach hand hygiene habits such as washing hands before and after eating. Washing your hands regularly and properly, or using antibacterial hand sanitiser, can help reduce the spreading of bacteria and related diseases.

Tips for Hand Hygiene

1. Hand washing

To wash your hands, make sure that you wash for approximately 20 seconds1. It is also important to be thorough by washing up to your wrists.

2. Clean Hands While On The Go

Sometimes it can be hard to access running water when you’re on the go. If you’re unable to wash your hands, an Aqium Antibacterial Hand Sanitiser is great to have in your bag for regular use. Antibacterial hand sanitisers are important in the control of bacterial spread. Dispense one to two pumps of the hand sanitiser onto the palm, and thoroughly rub the palms until the product air dries or has air dried. Ensure to rub over the back of the hands, fingertips and wrists. Being thorough ensures that the antibacterial properties are working across as much surface area of your hands as possible.

Clean hands is a fundamental step in helping to prevent bacterial spread. Having clean hands is essential whether you’re an adult working in an office all day or a child at school. Washing hands or sanitising them with an Antibacterial Hand Sanitiser before touching your face or eating is an important habit to develop.
